The Entitled are a rare class of mages in Fera who channel Aether; raw magical energy drawn from an otherworldly plane called the Aether; through their bodies using specially-forged rune-laced gloves. Unlike traditional spellcasters who rely on incantations or elemental control, Entitled act as conduits, pulling volatile Aether directly into the material world, shaping it through sheer willpower and practiced technique.
Because unfiltered Aether is highly unstable and toxic to mortals, most Entitled suffer physical or psychological tolls over time. Their gloves serve both as a focus and as a protective measure, each pair uniquely attuned to its wearer. Loss or damage to these gloves often renders the Entitled powerless—or worse, vulnerable to uncontrolled surges.
The origin of the Entitled is unclear, though many scholars speculate their powers stem from ancient pacts or exposure to rifts between Fera and the Aether. Some Entitled have been revered as saints or feared as monsters, depending on how their abilities manifest.
