Playable: Yes
World: FeraEsther Stahnke
Esther Stahnke is a sharp-tongued, book-buried university student whose fascination with the esoteric borders on devotional. While most students unwind with cheap lager and late-night cinema, Esther prowls second-hand bookshops, abandoned railway tunnels, and forgotten Üstün ruins. She is obsessed with the darker fabric of Fera’s magic; ghosts, cursed artefacts, Aether-bleed incidents, and anything officially labelled “best left alone.”
Calm, deadpan, and permanently sleep-deprived, she speaks fluent sarcasm and has the social warmth of a crypt door; unless someone shares her passions, in which case she comes alive with startling intensity.
A slim girl with dark bags under her eyes, short dark blue/purple hair, round glasses perpetually sliding down her nose, and a wardrobe of black jumpers, occult jewellery, and worn combat boots.
Dry, sardonic wit
Quietly brave, almost to the point of foolishness
Obsessed with magical theory and forbidden texts
Often underestimated due to her small frame and soft voice
Keeps a journal that is equal parts research notes and morbid poetry
Strong theoretical knowledge of necromancy, demonology, and Aether anomalies
Can recognise Üstün glyphwork at a glance
Remarkably intuitive with spirits, hauntings, and supernatural disturbances
Prone to getting herself involved in things sane people avoid
Born in the outskirts of Ilmaria’s capital, Esther grew up above her grandmother’s antique shop; a cluttered labyrinth of cursed trinkets, creaking dolls, and Üstün relics brought in by collectors who didn't understand what they were selling. Her fascination with the uncanny began early, and by nine year old she was practising minor protective wards and ghost-luring rites in abandoned parks.
She intends to write her thesis on “interdimensional bleed phenomena and the metaphysical ecology of urban spirits.” Her professor is already dreading it.
