Luna

Summary

Luna is a stoic and enigmatic Lupir-type Chimerae known for her calm authority and unshakable composure. Once a feared enforcer within the city’s underworld, she now operates as an the head of her own Alrussian Mafia

Outside of her work, Luna is rarely seen without her immaculate black suit and tie, a visual echo of the discipline and pride she once held as a professional operative. She speaks little, moves with purpose, and commands respect through presence alone. Beneath her reserved surface lies a deep loyalty to those few she trusts, and a quiet, lingering grief for the life she was forced to abandon.

Appearance

Luna possesses a striking, almost unnervingly composed appearance. Tall and lean, she carried herself with the quiet, rigid posture of someone raised in discipline rather than comfort. Her face was sharp and elegant, high cheekbones, a defined jawline, and dark, expressive eyes that rarely betrayed emotion.

Her most distinctive features were her natural wolf ears, tall and velvet-black, positioned neatly atop her head. They contrasted with her straight, midnight-black hair, which she kept long and meticulously maintained. Luna’s natural wolf tail matched, sleek and well-groomed, often swaying subtly behind her despite her otherwise motionless demeanour.

Luna’s typical attire consisted of an immaculate black tailored suit, fitted perfectly to her frame, paired with black gloves and polished shoes.

Her expression was almost always the same: cool, unreadable, and faintly severe. Even in casual settings, Luna exuded an aura of precision and quiet threat, a presence sharpened by her stillness and the way her gaze seemed to measure everyone and everything around her.

Personality

Luna is defined by her silence, discipline, and absolute emotional control. She speaks rarely and only when necessary, choosing her words with clinical precision. To most, she appears cold, unreadable, even intimidating, but beneath her stillness lies a slow-burning intensity that makes people instinctively wary of disappointing her.

She is naturally observant, reading body language and motives with uncanny accuracy. Luna’s gaze alone can feel like a warning. She carries herself with quiet authority; she does not need to raise her voice to command attention. Her calm is her most dangerous weapon, and she wields it effortlessly.

Luna has a deeply ingrained sense of loyalty, though she offers it to very few. She protects those she cares for with the same unshakable resolve she applies to her work, and betrayal, once earned, is met with a coldness more painful than anger.

Her humour is dry and rare. She is not unkind, but she is emotionally guarded to the point of seeming detached. Even in moments of vulnerability, Luna maintains a veneer of stoic composure, refusing to let others see her break.

Despite this, Luna is not unfeeling. She simply communicates her care through actions rather than words: staying late to help, standing watch without being asked, silently fixing a problem before anyone notices it existed.

Her past trauma has shaped her into someone who trusts slowly and forgives almost never, but who, once she chooses her people, stands with them even at her lowest.

History

Luna was born in Alrussia; though “born” is too generous a word for how her life began. Like many Chimerae children, she was abandoned at the gates of a state-run orphanage, left with no name, no record, and no one who cared whether she lived or died. The Alrussian system was notoriously cruel to her kind; Chimerae were treated as lesser, their animal traits used as justification for discrimination, beatings, and exploitation.

In the orphanage, Luna quickly learned the essential rule of survival: speak little, trust less, and never show weakness. Her wolf ears and tail, once symbols of natural identity, made her a target. She endured taunts, punishments, and the cold indifference of overseers who saw Chimerae children as defective stock.

But she was not entirely alone.

An older boy, another Chimerae, noticed her. He had survived longer than most, hardening into something fierce and stubborn. He shielded her when she was too small to defend herself, stole food when she was starving, and taught her how to fight before she was old enough to understand why she needed to. To Luna, he became a silent constant: a wall between her and the cruelty of the world.

They grew up together in that hostile place, bonded not by affection but by necessity and the unspoken pact of the abandoned. When they finally aged out of the system, they left as a pair and entered the underworld as equals; two orphans with nothing but grit and the will to carve space for themselves.

Luna rose quickly. Her ability to read danger, to stay calm under pressure, and to execute orders without hesitation attracted the attention of those who valued competence over bloodline. He rose with her, never seeking power, content to remain at her side as her shadow and right hand.

Together, they built their reputation: Luna the strategist with a stare that froze rooms; he the enforcer who ensured her word was final.

Their shared childhood forged a loyalty that nothing; not violence, betrayal, nor the years of hardship, could sever. Even after Luna was nearly killed, maimed, and rebuilt with augments, he stayed. He is one of the very few who remembers the small, starving girl she once was, and the only one she has ever allowed to stay that close.
