Protagonist of the Novel The Children of the Banquet (Novel).

Created by Vannozzo de Albrixis, Princeps is an Effigy, a man made Automata. He was created with clockwork mechanical parts but was supposed to be fitted with Aether crystals for power, however his created was killed before he could do that and he escaped the carnage of his father's lab.

Found in a sewer pit by Daddy D, Princeps was taken in to The Children of the Banquet, a collection of runaways, orphans and street children taken care by Daddy D and Momma M. Princeps would become one of their 'runners' during the time he acted as a thief for the group until he was handed over to Momma M's brothel.

After being spotted by a much higher criminal leader, he was taken in to a more expensive brothel. During one of these nights, he was beaten by the client and one of his defensive subroutines was activated. He killed the man as well as several guards of the brothel who tried to stop him.

Now on the run from the gangs of Altenkau (City)'s slums, Princeps attempts to find his way and find out what he really is, living in Hotel Das Letzte Asyl. He joins The Gentleman Bastards, having a minor relationship with Red Fox.
